Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-27
Overview
This privacy policy applies to SettingsHop (“the app”). It explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information the App Collects
The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. It makes no network requests, has no accounts, and includes no analytics or advertising SDKs.
Information Stored on Your Device
Your favorite panes, recently opened panes, and widget configuration are stored locally in UserDefaults, shared between the app and its widget extension through an App Group container. This data never leaves your Mac.
Third-Party Services
The app uses no third-party services. When you open a pane, the app hands a x-apple.systempreferences: URL to macOS, which opens System Settings — that interaction happens entirely on your device and is governed by macOS, not by the app. See Apple’s privacy policy.
Data Retention and Deletion
All app data lives on your device. Removing the app deletes its settings; you can also clear favorites inside the app at any time. For deletion questions, email the address below.
Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
