Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What’s the difference between left-click and right-click?
A: Right-click the cup icon toggles sleep prevention on or off. Left-click opens the menu, where you pick a duration or open Settings (⌘,).
Q: The menu bar icon’s status looks wrong.
A: If you use Bartender, Ice, or a similar menu bar manager and have hidden the Americano icon, its status display may be inaccurate. Unhide the icon to see the real state.
Q: Mac App Store version vs. the GitHub/Homebrew version?
A: They’re the same app — only one copy can be installed at a time, and settings carry over. The GitHub/Homebrew build updates itself via Sparkle; the Mac App Store build is updated through the App Store and runs inside the App Sandbox.
Q: How do I see the onboarding again?
A: Open Settings → About and choose to re-open the onboarding.
