Terms of Service

Effective date: October 29, 2026.

These terms govern your use of VirtualLocation, a macOS app that changes the location a connected iPhone or iPad reports. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you accept them.

The app

VirtualLocation is a developer tool: it sets a virtual location on an iPhone or iPad connected to your Mac, over USB or the same Wi-Fi network, using Apple’s own developer services. It requires no jailbreak and installs nothing on the device. It is intended for development, testing, and debugging.

Free tier and VIP license

The Teleport feature is free. Move, Joystick, and batch operations require a VIP license. The VIP license is a one-time purchase — not a subscription — with no expiration date. You activate it by entering a license key in the app; once activated, it works offline.

Each license supports up to 3 activated Macs at a time. Connected iPhone and iPad devices can still be managed in batches. To move an activation to another Mac, remove the license from an old Mac while online. If the old Mac is unavailable or its activation cannot be released, contact support.

Please don’t share your license key publicly or redistribute the app as your own work.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments. Prices are shown on this site and at checkout before you pay. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for how you use the app and for complying with the law and the terms of the apps and services you use it with. Restoring a device’s real location is always available and always free.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Updates and changes

The app may update itself after you confirm an update. If these terms change, the updated version is posted on this page with a new effective date.
